So often, single mothers are so busy taking care of their children that they never have time for themselves. A Mother's Dream provides these selfless women with one day to focus on themselves. Through this program, mothers are "adopted" for the holidays. The process involves individuals donating gifts for the mother they have adopted. Once the holidays are over, the adopted mothers are treated to a luncheon and presented with gifts exclusively for themselves.
Wish list: Body oils, lotions, wash, manicure sets, pedicure sets, gifts cards to salons, etc. Create your own gift basket with a motivational quote to donate.
This program is designed to aide young fathers ages 14 to 26-years-old in understanding the complex nature of child development and the important role fathers play in the healthy development of children. Be the best dad you can be! Fathers who care for, nurture, and play with their babies raise children with higher IQs and with better language and cognitive skills. Involved fathers enhance their children’s communication skills because they tend to ask children more questions than mothers, which builds vocabulary and conversational skills.
The program meets once a week for 6 weeks. Each session lasts 1-1/2 hours. The components consist of a hands-on educational session, fun activity, dinner, and resource information. Each father will receive one-on-one coaching to address personal needs, assistance with employment, assistance with housing or other community resources.
TOPICS: Child Safety, child support, relationships, discipline, being the best dad you can be, male issues and more.
